Mining Grinding Machine Equipment Introduction

Grinding machinery is a mechanical equipment that uses grinding media (steel balls, steel bars, gravel, ore itself, etc.) or the relative movement of its own working surface in a rotating or vibrating cylinder/cavity to apply multiple low-intensity impacts and grinding to the ore, so that the ore particle size gradually decreases and reaches the specified fineness.

• Process status: Grinding is the second stage in the “crushing-grinding-sorting” process, and is the link with the highest energy consumption in the beneficiation plant (accounting for 40%~60% of the total power consumption of the plant).

The core task of grinding and ore dressing is not simply “crushing”, but is achieved through the unit operation of “grinding”:

  • Particle size control: Grind 0.5~30 mm feed ore into 0.075 mm (200 mesh) or even finer;
  • Monomer dissociation: Let the useful mineral particles and gangue be fully separated to provide qualified raw materials for sorting;
  • Dissociation selectivity: Minimize over-grinding and mudification, reduce energy consumption and metal loss.

YGM Grinding Mill

SMAT High-Pressure Suspension Grinding Mill has a wide range of finished product sizes, commonly used to produce 80-425 mesh powder. By adding special equipment, it can produce 30-80 mesh coarse powder. The most fine powder could be up to 1000 mesh. Ore dressing grinding machine workflow

Medium movement:

The cylinder rotates at a certain speed, and the medium rises to a critical height with the cylinder wall and then falls or cascades, producing a dual effect of impact and grinding on the ore.
Gradual particle size reduction:

As the medium energy is continuously input, the ore cracks expand until they break, and the particle size decreases gradually.
Discharge mechanism:

The ground particles are discharged in time through overflow, grid forced discharge, wind power or screening to prevent over-grinding.
