Raymond mill is a kind of grinding equipment widely used in mining, building materials, chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries. It is favored by users for its high efficiency, energy saving and wide application range. This article will analyze the working principle of Raymond mill in detail to help readers better understand its structure and operation process.

1. Overview of Raymond mill

Raymond mill, also known as Raymond mill, is a vertical structure of high-efficiency grinding equipment, mainly used for fine powder and ultrafine powder processing of non-metallic minerals. Its working principle is based on the extrusion and grinding action between the grinding roller and the grinding ring to grind the material into fine powder. Raymond mill has the advantages of simple structure, convenient operation, small footprint, low noise and less dust. It is widely used in the grinding of limestone, calcite, talc, barite, fluorite and other materials.

2. Main structural components

Raymond mill is mainly composed of main machine, analyzer, fan, finished product cyclone separator, micro powder cyclone separator and air duct. The specific structure is as follows:

1. Main machine: including grinding roller, grinding ring, scraper, center shaft, bracket and other components. Grinding roller and grinding ring are core components, responsible for extruding and grinding materials.

2. Analyzer: used to control the fineness of finished products. By adjusting the speed of the analyzer, the particle size of the finished products can be controlled.

3. Fan: Provide airflow to transport the ground materials to the cyclone separator.

4. Cyclone separator: Separate the fine powder in the airflow and collect it as finished products.

5. Micro-powder cyclone separator: Further separate the fine powder and improve the fineness of the finished product.

6. Air duct: Connect various components and transport airflow.

3. Working principle

The working process of Raymond mill can be divided into the following steps:

1. Material supply:

The material enters the center of the main machine through the feeding device and falls in the center of the rotating grinding ring. Driven by the central shaft, the grinding roller rotates around the grinding ring and extrude and grinds the material.

2. Grinding process:

The gap between the grinding roller and the grinding ring is very small. Under the extrusion and grinding action of the grinding roller, the material is gradually crushed into fine powder. The shovel blade continuously scoops up the material and evenly sprinkles it on the grinding ring to ensure that the material is fully ground.

3. Air flow conveying:

The high-speed airflow generated by the fan blows the ground material out of the main machine and sends it to the analyzer. The analyzer separates the fine powder from the coarse powder by high-speed rotation. The fine powder enters the finished product cyclone separator through the analyzer, while the coarse powder returns to the main machine for further grinding.

4. Finished product collection:

The fine powder is separated from the airflow in the finished product cyclone separator and collected as the finished product. The micro-powder cyclone separator further separates finer powder to improve the fineness of the finished product. The unseparated fine powder returns to the main machine through the air duct and continues to participate in the grinding process.

5. Circulation process:

The working process of the Raymond mill is a cyclic process. The material circulates continuously between the main machine, the analyzer, and the cyclone separator until the required fineness is reached. The speed of the analyzer and the air volume of the fan can be adjusted to control the fineness and output of the finished product.
